Cut your energy costs without tying up capital
Rising energy costs are one of the biggest pressures on any business — and a solar system can cut them dramatically. But not every business wants to tie up capital in equipment.
A Power Purchase Agreement removes that barrier entirely.
Working with our funding partner HDM Energies, we design and install a solar PV system sized for your building at no upfront cost.
HDM funds and owns the system; your business simply buys the electricity it generates at a fixed, predictable rate that is typically well below grid prices. Any power you don't use is exported to the grid.
Installation, commissioning, monitoring, maintenance and insurance are all included — so it's solar without the capital cost, the risk or the upkeep.

How a PPA works — four simple steps
-
We design and install — free.
We survey your roof and energy use and install a system suited to your site, fully funded, with no capital cost to you. -
You buy cheaper solar power.
You buy the solar power you use at a reduced, fixed rate for the term of the agreement — giving you long-term price certainty against a volatile grid. -
Surplus power is exported.
Any surplus is exported to the National Grid, so nothing generated is wasted. -
We look after it.
Monitoring, maintenance and insurance are included for the life of the agreement.
What's included
-
No upfront cost — the system is fully funded.
-
A fixed electricity rate - typically well below what you pay the grid.
-
Design and installation by our own MCS-registered, RECC & NAPIT-accredited engineers, using Tier-one equipment.
-
Maintenance, monitoring and insurance throughout the agreement.
-
Systems funded by Paragon Bank and insured by Allianz.
The wider benefits
-
Improve your building's EPC rating and potentially its value.
-
Strengthen your sustainability and CSR credentials with genuinely green power.
-
Add EV charging to your site and open up a new revenue stream.
-
Greater energy independence and less exposure to grid price rises.
Your PPA partner: HDM Energies

Our Power Purchase Agreements are provided and funded by HDM Energies, part of the HDM Solar group and one of the UK's fastest-growing renewables specialists. HDM Energies funds, owns and insures the system, and your electricity supply agreement is with them; Solar Tech Solutions designs and installs it as their MCS-registered, RECC & NAPIT-accredited installer. It's the best of both: HDM's funding strength and our local expertise and aftercare.
-
Projects funded by Paragon Bank and systems insured by Allianz.
-
Tier-one equipment, installed and maintained to MCS standards.
-
A single, clear agreement — no capital outlay, no hidden costs.
Who it's for
A PPA suits businesses with meaningful daytime electricity use and a suitable roof - offices,
industrial units, warehouses, retail and similar. If you lease your premises, your landlord’s
permission is needed (the improved EPC rating and building value benefit them too, and the
contract can transfer to a new owner or tenant).
At the end of the agreement
You're never locked in at the end of the term. You can buy the system — from as little as £1 at the end of a full term, extend the agreement, renegotiate a new PPA, or have the system removed. You can also choose to buy the system at any point during the term at as et declining price..
